Scenario Description
The German blitzkrieg cut across northern France to the Englidh Channel like a scythe, with the Somme River forming its lower edge. In an effort to retake the German-held bridgeheads along the Somme, a combined British-Prench attack northward along a front from St, Valery on the coast east to Abbeville was launched on 4 June. The right side of the attack was executed by French heavy tanks supported by British infantry and light tanks. Their goal: secure the village of Caubert, the ridge beyond it and the Villiers Woods along the Blagny-Abbeviile Road. Success here would give the Allies a foothold from which they could retake Abbeville.
