Scenario Description
A well-armed detachment of Argentine soldiers, EC Hermes (part of what became known as the Fanning Head Mob), were situated in an Observation Post (OP) on a hill on Fanning Head, a península above the entrance to San Carlos Water. Their objective: to harass and disrupt any British attempts at a landing via the Water. During the early hours of May 21st, they were detected by a British Wessex helicopter's thermal-imaging sights. To deal with this menace, members of the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) from HMS Antrim were inserted by helicopter, under cover of darkness. After an initial call for the Argentines to surrender was answered with gunfire, the SBS engaged the OP.

Battle Narrative
Operation Sutton was the code name for the British landings on the shores of San Carlos Water, at Ajax Bay and Port San Carlos, near San Carlos on East Falkland. During the night, 3 Commando Brigade along with attached units of the Parachute Regiment were landed from the liner SS Canberra and the LPD HMS Fearless. There was very limited enemy resistance on the ground. The Argentine Army force on site was a section from the 25th Infantry Regiment named Combat Team Güemes (Spanish: Equipo de Combate Güemes), or EC Güemes, located at Fanning Head.
