Scenario Description
By the end of May 1940, the French were learning, a bit late, the lessons of the Blitzkrieg. They had been building Up several small armored combat teams to oppose the Germans' powerful panzer divisions. These new units, comprised of anti-tank Corps Francs, were sent on dangerous missions anywhere they were needed, to aid hard-pressed troops. They operated directly under the command of any infantry division that required their service. That these groups were pretty much suicide units was apparent, and all the men in them were volunteers. Most of them came from elite units like the FFL, Chasseurs Alpins, cavalry or infantry Groupe Francs. Most of them were hard men, hard to handle away from battle, but all of them proved to be remarkable fighters. On the 5th of June, Lieutenant Gerard's Tank Fighter Team was deployed east of Rouen with other armored Groupe Francs; their mission: to delay the coming panzer divisions ' advance, and to allow for the establishment of the defense of the city. A patrol exploring the village of Douville sur AndalIe spotted the first elements of the 7th Panzer Division. They had just enough time to call for reinforcements and to prepare an ambush.

Battle Narrative
The Battle of France, also known as the Fall of France, was the German invasion of France and the Low Countries during the Second World War. On 3 September 1939 France had declared war on Germany, following the German invasion of Poland. In early September 1939, France began the limited Saar Offensive. By mid-October, the French had withdrawn to their start lines. In six weeks from 10 May 1940, German forces defeated Allied forces by mobile operations, conquering France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, ending land operations on the Western Front until the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944. Italy entered the war on 10 June 1940.
