Scenario Description
The Willemsbrug Bridge over the Nieuwe Maas in central Rotterdam was fiercely contested since the Blitzkrieg began on the 10th. The Germans clung to a bridgehead on the north side, but were unable to extend it, with most of their follow-on forces stuck on the Noordereilland in the center of the Nieuwe Maas. The remaining Germans on the north side, a mix of air-landing troops and Fallschirnyagers, had held out in the large Insurance Building for days without reUef. Dutch Marines, along with a pair of M39 armored cars, launched a desperate attack notjust to dislodge the German bridgehead, but to retake the Bridge.
