Scenario Description
Counterattacking from the west, a German armored column, including refitted captured French tanks, managed to cross Cauquigny after losing a few vehicles and men to Lieutenant Levy's patrol. It advanced on the causeway toward the bridge over the Merderet River, only to be welcomed by a four man advance guard armed with bazookas and a 57 mm AT gun, which landed earlier by a glider from the 84th Troop Carrier Squadron. Covered by constant machine gun fire and shelling of the Able Company 505th PIR positions, the Germans tried to make their way on this exposed ground. - Stéphane Tanguay
