Scenario Description
Kharkov had just fallen to rhe Soviets and a realignment of the German defensive line was formed to its south. The Grossdeutschland Division's Fusilier Regiment was given the assignment of defending a section of road leading to the west out of Kharkov towards Ljubotin. Rybalko's Soviet 3rd Tank Army was trying to break through this new line southwest of the city. One of his attacks took place on the outskirts of the town of Korotich near a collective farm. Companies 12 and 13, III Battalion, were deployed at this focal point of the Soviet attack. Neither company had strong AT weapons to use in their defense. They were initially completely on their own as the enemy attempted to find a weak point in the defense. The giant Soviet tanks, escorted by infantry, roamed almost freely while moving fonvard against the line. Could the Germans hold? And for how long?
