Scenario Description
After a severe nose-bloodying at First Alamein, Rommel took the month of August to formulate his plans. He hoped to defeat the British quickly in order to reach the Delta before the arrival of another major Allied convoy. Unfortunately, it was the same plan used at Gazala and Mersa Matruh: wheel around the Allied line from the south to cut their supply lines. This time, however, Auchinleck was expecting the move, and prepared the veteran 7th Amoured and newly arrived 10th Armoured Divisions to trap the Desert Fox. On 1 September 1942, the Afrika Korps blundered through the grit of a khamseen (dust storm) into the waiting ranks of the County of London Yeomanry.
