Scenario Description
Soon after crossing the Sarre River, 4th Armored Division vanguards ran into the flank of Panzer Lehr Division. Approaching the village of Baerendorf, Combat Command B sent its 53rd Armor Infantry Battalion forward to conduct a hazardous stream crossing. Receiving fire from several tank, the infantry crossed over and cleared the high ground west of the village, then prepared to assault the village itself with the help of the few tanks that had also managed to cross.
