Scenario Description
"Tonight is the night of nights" began Lt. Col. Robert Sink's message to the men of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment as they embarked onto a fleet of transport planes on the evening of 5 June. As the vast armada of aircrafts carrying the 101st Airborne Division crossed the French coastline, weather and heavy FlaK scattered hundreds of C-47's away from their planned drop points, dropping some sticks of paratroopers up to 20 miles from their targets. Once on the ground, the Americans quickly reformed into small units and set out in the inky summer darkness to sew chaos amongst the Germans garrisoned behind the D-Day invasion beaches.
