Scenario Description
Companies D, E and F of the 2nd Rangers Battalion – having scaled the cliffs and accomplished their D-Day goals – were under heavy attack. That night, expected German attacks knocked the Rangers out of their forward positions along the coastal road, the survivors withdrawing at dawn back to the narrow strip along the cliffs with the rest of the Rangers. They eagerly awaited relief. On its way was a force from the 1st Battalion, the 2nd and 5th Rangers, and tanks of the 743rd Tank Battalion.
