Scenario Description
After they had crossed the Belgian border, German units of the 1st and 2nd Panzer Divisions ran up against the defensive positions of the 1st Division of Chasseurs Ardennais. Commandant Bricart's 5th Company was ordered to resist at all costs and cover the withdrawal of its regiment. In Bodange, Wissembach and Strainchamps, platoons of the Chasseurs Ardennais managed to temporarily resist the German attacks. However, they were soon outflanked on the left when Strainchamps fell and the 5th Company was forced to retreat behind the crest. The 2nd platoon was left behind in a sacrifice mission to hold Bodange. The Chasseurs Ardennais bravely resisted until late afternoon. Finally, surrounded and out of ammunition, the few survivors had no choice but to surrender. Still, they had managed to stop the Panzers for a day.
