Scenario Description
Held by the 1st Battalion of the 67th Infantry Regiment and some elements of the 6th Infantry Division Recon Group, the town of Stonne was attacked by German units on May 15 at 6 a.m. The 8th Panzer Regiment suddenly arrived from around the bend of the "Pain de Sucre" ("Sugarloaf") and assaulted the town. Many of the tanks were destroyed by the French 25 mm anti-tank guns, but the Germans enjoyed a numerical superiority and Stonne was taken by the soldiers of the Infantry Regiment Grossdeutschland. A couple hours later, French troops launched a counter-attack with B1-bis tanks and managed to retake Stonne. The battle for control of the town lasted for two days but on the evening of May 17, Stonne was occupied by German forces.

Battle Narrative
The Battle of Sedan or Second Battle of Sedan took place in the Second World War during the Battle of France in 1940. It was part of the German Wehrmacht's operational plan codenamed Fall Gelb for an offensive through the hilly and forested Ardennes, to encircle the Allied armies in Belgium and north-eastern France. German Army Group A crossed the Meuse river with the intention of capturing Sedan and pushing northwards towards the Channel coast, to trap the Allied forces that were advancing east into Belgium, as part of the Allied Dyle Plan.
