Scenario Description
The US Rangers drew the most difficult single mission for the morning of the invasion of Nazi occupied France: Neutralize the Battery of guns on Pointe du Hoc. The Rangers had to scale 100 foot cliffs on the seaward side of the point to take out the battery of six 155mm guns to ensure a safer passage for the rest of the invasion forces on Utah and Omaha beaches. After a hellish ride across the channel and nearly landing at the wrong point, the Rangers disembarked from their Higgins boats to attempt what many thought was a suicide mission.
