Scenario Description
In the immediate aftermath of the invasion the recently formed Special Operations Executive (SDE) began recruiting officers for the creation of a British Resistance movement to disrupt the German rear areas. Two such operatives were paradropped behind German lines in early December to link up with local Home Guard elements now operating out of uniform. After successfully disrupting an Axis supply convoy earlier that day the newly equipped SOE led force found themselves the subject of a concerted German manhunt. Anticipating the pursuit and taking advantage of local terrain knowledge, the British partisans staged an impromptu ambush. As the German soldiers attempted to escape the trap the 'Tonbridge Two,' as they came to be know, were wounded and captured. Both men were hanged in the market square in Tonbridge Wells the following day.

Battle Narrative
Operation Sea Lion, also written as Operation Sealion, was Nazi Germany's code name for the plan for an invasion of the United Kingdom during the Battle of Britain in the Second World War. Following the Fall of France, Adolf Hitler, the German Führer and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hoped the British government would seek a peace agreement and he reluctantly considered invasion only as a last resort if all other options failed.
