Scenario Description
The southern arm of Operation Tremor consisted of a joint Commonwealth and US force. In a bid to deceive Axis forces as to the true size of the Allied counterattack, American forces were tasked with the recapture of R.A.F. Upper Heyford, which had been seized by German troops and was now directly in the path of the joint task force. Allied commanders were reluctant to authorize air support from the tattered remnants of the RAF and as a result the Allied attack commenced without it. Lacking any aerial targets to engage, German AA gunners turned their weaponry on the oncoming American troops in a desperate bid to repulse the Allied assault long enough for engineers to sabotage the base facilities.

Battle Name
Battle Narrative
Operation Sea Lion, also written as Operation Sealion, was Nazi Germany's code name for the plan for an invasion of the United Kingdom during the Battle of Britain in the Second World War. Following the Fall of France, Adolf Hitler, the German Führer and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hoped the British government would seek a peace agreement and he reluctantly considered invasion only as a last resort if all other options failed.
